Abstract

"Capitol Update" piece on the state of Maine, which expects to end the budget year on June 30 with a surplus in excess of $50 million. While the revenue picture is improving, unemployment continues to be a concern. Despite the surplus, revenues will fall far short of what is needed by the next legislature.
