Abstract

The Maine Food Producers Alliance hired its first full-time director, Valerie Geredien, in 2009, and is preparing for its Maine Food Means Business 2010 Summit, at the Samoset in Rockport, on Oct. 28. In Maine and across the nation, the specialty food sector is growing, but it is a challenge for small producers to get their products into major stores.
