Abstract

"Newsworthy" piece with a profile of Ed Underwood, CFO of Kestrel Aircraft, an aircraft manufacturing company that he and his partner, CEO Alan Klapmeier, are setting up at the former Brunswick Naval Air Station. The company plans to make 35 of its Kestrel JP10 jets by 2014. The plane is made of composites, and its affordabilty and maneuverability make it appealing to corporate flight departments. The company plans to create 300 jobs at the former base.
