Abstract

"Focus Transportation & Trade" piece on the record sales growth of Maine exports to foreign countries in 2010. Sales to international markets reached $3.15 billion in 2010 and Maine's exports grew 41% over 2009 totals. The top five trading partners for Maine in 2010 were Canada, Malaysia, China, the Netherlands and the Republic of South Korea. The top five Maine exports in 2010 were electric machinery & sound/TV equipment, paper, wood pulp (waste and scrap), seafood, and wood.
