Abstract

"Capitol Update" piece on the state Legislature's appropriations committee's unanimous approval of the second emergency spending measure of this session for the budget year ending June 30. Funds were reallocated from ongoing programs and taken from the state reserves to Almost $70 million in bills, mostly in the Department of Health and Human Services, were paid by reallocating funds from ongoing programs and by taking money from the state reserves, leaving only $6-7 million in the state's "rainy day fund".
