Abstract

"Capitol Update" piece on how Maine's state revenues in the first quarter of the fiscal year have been greatly boosted by corporate income tax revenue that came in $12.5 million over projections. But Finance Commissioner Sawin Millett is worried that individual income tax revenue has not improved and is $5.7 million below expectations for the quarter. Maine corporations appear to be doing well but this success is not leading to job creation.
