Abstract

Founded in 2007, Maine's Business and Consumer Court has had its funding restored after budget cuts made due to the 2008 economic downturn. Previously hampered by reduced staffing of one part-time clerk and two judges, the restored funding means that the court now has two clerks and an additional judge. Portland lawyer David McConnell praised the court's "commitment to dealing with cases efficiently and appropriately."
