Abstract

"Capitol Update" piece on efforts by members of the Legislature's Criminal Justice and Public Safety Committee to find additional funding needed by the state police computer crime unit to deal with a backlog of cases, most of which deal with child pornography. In 2011, the unit dealt with 235 child pornography cases, representing nearly three-quarters of the unit's workload.
