Information about the $411,268 in startup seed grants recently awarded by the Maine Technology Institute's Board of Directors. Grants in the category of Advanced Technologies for Forestry and Agriculture were awarded to Stirling Consulting Inc. in Yarmouth and Pelletco LLC in Orono. A grant in the category of Biotechnology was awarded to Butterfield Technologies LLC in Portland. Grants in the category of Environmental Technology were given to Sani Seat in Portland, WOOLY ROUNDS in Camden, Beltane Solar Inc. in Topsham, and James E. Sewall Co. in Old Town. Grants in the category of Information Technology were awarded to J. Weston Walch, dba Walch Publishing, in Portland, Maine Marine Composites LLC in Portland, Refill Management Systems LLC in Yarmouth, Camblum Enterprises in Yarmouth, Chimani LLC in Yarmouth, and Howell MSI in Westbrook. Grants in the category of Precision Manufacturing were awarded to Karkos Group LLC in Lewiston and Greenwood Tech Strategies LLC in Rockport.
