Abstract

"Focus Banking & Finance" piece on the success of Camden National Bank's internal leadership training program called Horizons that began in 2009. Camden National places a great deal of importance in the development and retention of top performers within the bank's employees. The bank selected 10 candidates for each of the program's three tiers: one for potential officers, one for officers and associate vice presidents, and the final tier for vice presidents and senior vice presidents who might end up in top management positions.
