Abstract

"Focus Education/Training" piece on Lincoln Academy's proposed applied technology and engineering center. The center seeks to reverse a nationwide decline in traditional craftsmanship skills, skills formerly taught in schools as "industrial arts" or "shop class", and to fill a need for trained workers in Maine's manufacturing industry.
