Abstract

"Views from the Top" piece suggests that an inverted organizational chart -- one that puts customers at the top, then the employees that directly support them, with management in turn supporting those front line workers û actually benefits the business. As companies grow, leaders tend to spend less and less time on the front lines, losing touch with customer needs.
