Abstract

"Focus Banking & Finance" piece on the two new branches opened by Five County Credit Union that use video banking technology to connect customers with offsite tellers. The use of this technology, which was developed by Salt Lake City-based uGenius Technology, allows Five County to offer personal interactions as well as extended hours. cPort Credit Union has decided not to pursue video banking at this time, but rather to focus on mobile technology. Both credit unions hope their innovative ventures will change people's perceptions that credit unions are not as sophisticated as banks.
