Abstract

Dan DenDanto, a Mount Desert Island-based scientist, is one of the nation's foremost experts in the specialized field of cleaning, articulating and restoring whale skeletons for display. He is a research associate of the College of the Atlantic's Whale Program and is the director of its North Atlantic Fin Whale Catalogue. He is interviewed about his work, its challenges and his current project.
