Abstract

The U.S. Department of Labor's Occupational Safety and Health Administration's fines will increase, as a result of a law passed in November 2015 federal budget. Maine Commissioner of Labor Jeanne Paquette is promoting Maine's workplace safety program, SafetyWorks! to Maine businesses as a way of minimizing workplace hazards and safety violations, so as to avoid being penalized by the new law.
