Abstract

While the 2005 closing of the Brunswick Naval Air Station, which resulted in the loss of 6,500 jobs, was an economic setback for the area, Brunswick Landing's redevelopment of the area, assisted by the Midcoast Regional Redevelopment Authority team headed by Steve Levesque has been making remarkable progress in bringing back businesses to the area. The article highlights some of the areas of progress and businesses that have come to the area.
