Abstract

An Exchange Street block in downtown Bangor is for sale and has a possible buyer. Once the center of Bangor's social scene, the six buildings in the block have been underutilized in recent years. A history of the block (at one time called the E.C. Nichols Block, the Nichols building being the only building on the block to survive Bangor's great fire of 1911) and buildings' uses are featured, as well as hopes for the future development of the block.
