The nine largest employee-owned businesses in Maine are presented along with 2015 revenue numbers, number of Maine employees and percentage employee-owned, a description of the business, top executive name, and year founded/ESOP founded year. Listed in descending order are The Cianbro Cos. (Pittsfield), Reed & Reed Inc. (Woolwich), Sargent Corp. (Stillwater), Dennis Paper & Food Service (Hamden), Lanco Integrated (Westbrook), Johnny's Selected Seeds (Winslow), Landry/French Construction Co. (Scarborough), Systems Engineering Inc. (Portland) and DACscales (Kennebunk).
