Abstract
"art" piece on an exhibit entitled "Fairfield Porter: A Life in Art, 1907-1975," which is being presented at the Portland Museum of Art, June 19 through Sept. 7. Porter's family summered in Maine on their private island off of Great Spruce Head. Porter painted in New York and Chicago, but Maine inspired his most renowned pieces.
