Abstract

Profile of Bruce Gagnon, coordinator of the Global Network Against Weapons and Nuclear Power in Space, who recently moved to Brunswick with his family. He will be a keynote speaker at the "Convergence for Peace at Bath," a massive protest spearheaded by Maine Veterans for Peace, to be held Aug. 9, the day of the launch of Bath Iron Works' twentieth Arleigh Burke Class Aegis destroyer, the USS Momsen, and coincidentally the fifty-eighth anniversary of the U.S. bombing of Nagasaki. Gagnon, a life-long activist, describes his activities and views in an interview with the Portland Phoenix. With details on the protest.
