Abstract
"art" piece on Bern Porter, a longtime resident of Belfast, who has led a exceptional life in art, science, poetry and literature. Porter co-founded the literary magazine "Circle 10," and became the first American publisher of Henry Miller's writings. His "Sciart Manifesto," published in 1950, imagined ways of putting science to work in the creation of beauty, a theme Porter took up throughout his life.
