Abstract

"books" piece on "My Journey," written by Portland rabbi Harry Sky, and published in association with Osher Lifelong Learning Institute, University of Southern Maine (USM). The book is a spiritual autobiography that is inextricably linked to Maine's history. Sky served as rabbi of Portland's Temple Beth El from 1961 through 1989, and remains involved there as rabbi emeritus. He is also currently rabbi-in-residence at Portland's Congregation Etz Chaim, and is working with Jews Without Boundaries. In addition, Sky founded the Senior College, now the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at USM.
