Abstract

"this just in" piece on Chef Rob Evans of Hugo's restaurant in Portland, who was recently named one of America's Best New Chefs of 2004 by "Food and Wine" magazine. Evans, born in Southboro, Massachusetts, served as chef at the Goose Cove Lodge in Deer Isle for five years. In 2000, he and Nancy Pugh bought Hugo's Portland Bisto.
