Abstract

Article detailing the Dirigo health-insurance plan and a legislative attempt to deal with the state's obesity epidemic, both of which will have national significance. The obesity legislation takes the form of numerous health-promoting bills, many of which will face opposition. The legislation will be one of the first state-level attempts to deal with obesity.
