Abstract
"Local Music" piece with a review of "Cat & Mouse Records 2006 Artist Compilation," a collection of 14 songs by nine local singer/songwriters. Cat & Mouse Records was founded in 2005 by songwriters John Wesley Hartley and Steven Williams, along with Mike O'Connor, Chris Dibiasio, Steven Bacon and Daniel Jacobs. Acoustic Coffee in Portland, owned by O'Connor, has fueled the local music scene with its Thursday night Maine Songwriters Association open mics.
