Abstract

"This Just In" piece on the 8th Senate District race, where incumbent Democrat Ethan Strimling will take on Republican challenger David Babin and a yet-to-be-named Green Independent challenger. Strimling and Babin represent opposite ends of the spectrum, disagreeing on almost every issue. Strimling is a progressive Democrat, and Babin is a conservative Republican, though openly gay. Despite his sexual orientation, Babin supports a constitutional ban on same-sex marriage, which Strimling opposes.
