Abstract

"This Just In" piece reporting that six anti-war protestors who last fall refused to leave Olympia Snowe's Bangor office were sentenced last week to 24 hours in jail. Doug Allen, a professor at the University of Maine and one of the protestors, said the sentence of jail time prompted local media to cover the protest. The protestors had requested a prison sentence instead of the usual sentence of community service.
