Abstract
"This Just In" piece on the tight security at Saturday's Land Use Regulation Commission (LURC) public hearing on Plum Creek's controversial plans for development in the Moosehead Lake region. People entering the Holiday Inn by the Bay had their bags checked for weapons, food, and drinks. The security presence included Portland police and hotel security, as well as Plum Creek's plainclothes security officers. LURC will hold its next and last public hearing on the issue in Greenville, on January 19.
