Feature article on choices the Portland School Committee faced when they met on May 16 to reduce the proposed school budget by $380,000. With details about Portland's award-winning sex-education program, Family Living and Human Sexuality, which many fear will be gutted if the committee endorses Superintendent Mary Jo O'Connor's recommendation to eliminate two of Portland's three sex educators.
