"Cover Story" piece on domestic violence in Maine's same-sex homes. According to Lois Galgay Reckitt, director of Family Crisis Services in Portland, in the last six months Portland police have received as many as 143 same-sex domestic violence complaints. Reckitt is also a member of the newly formed Bi/Gay/Intersexed/Lesbian/Transgender Intimate Partner Violence Task Force. With references to other organizations that focus on same-sex domestic violence, including the Gay Men's domestic Violence Project.
