Abstract

"this just in" piece about the firestorm that erupted in Gray after the June 11 primaries, because Donna Hill, Gray's election clerk, who is a Republican, appointed Pat Dunn, another Republican, to help her out in administering the election, in which Dunn's brother, Richard Barter, a Democrat, was running unopposed for his party's nomination for state Senate. The Monument, one of the town's two newspapers, took the story and ran with it on the front page, citing "a string of violations."
