Abstract
"this just in" piece on a resolution approved by the Portland City Council on Aug. 19 supporting the construction of a connector road between Interstate 295 and Portland's Commercial Street. The project, in the works since 1995, has been promoted as a solution to traffic congestion, and as a means of opening up more of Portland to taxable development.
