Abstract
"politics and other mistakes" piece on a legislative bill sponsored by state representative Glenn Cummings, D-Portland, proposing a constitutional amendment to lower the voting age to 17. If the bill is successful in winning the support of two-thirds of the Legislature and Gov.-elect John Baldacci, the issue will be on the ballot in November 2003.
