Abstract

"House of the month" piece on the Spanish style, George Burhham-designed mansion at 98 Carroll Street on Portland's West End, which is being sold by the Silvermans, who have lived there for 20 years. Listed for $1.7 million, it was home for some 50 years to the owners of Portland Stove Foundry. The home, which might boast the finest woodworking in the city, will set a record price for Portland when it sells.
