Abstract

An article on hunting preserves in Maine. There are 25-30 such places for birds and nine for game. Preserves featuring big game like elk, red stag, and boar have been banned in other states, but not in Maine. A more controversial practice is online hunting, whereby people can hunt a live animal on a preserve by computer. Maine passed a law in 2005 prohibiting the activity in Maine.
