Abstract

"House of the month" piece on "The Elms" in Westbrook, built in 1882 for the manager of S.D. Warren and later used as a guest house for visiting executives. It is for sale for $550,000. Nearby, and also on the market, is one of nine matching homes on the river, built for middle managers and designed by John Calvin Stevens. Its asking price is $214,900.
