Abstract

"Inside story" piece on Robert and Lucia Knight of Knight Associates, founders of Lucia's Little Houses of Blue Hill. Motivated by a soft market, the two kicked off the "Lucia's Little Houses" portfolio in 1996, now in its fifth edition. The book features 20 houses ranging in size from 700 to 2,400 square feet, most of which Knight and his partner Peter d'Entremont previously designed for clients. Knight also developed a modular house design called "the Cabin," with infinite configurations. The book is available through the Knights' website.
