Abstract

The Deer Isle mansion "Felsted," designed by Shingle Style architect William Emerson and for sale for $2.1 million, was featured in the movies "Finding Home" (2003) and "Man Without a Face" (1993). The oceanfront retreat was designed in 1896 for landscape architect Frederick Law Olmsted, who spent only one summer there because of failing health.
