Abstract

Profile of Pamela Hurley-Moser, 42, of Harpswell, an adventurer who heads a Portland travel agency. She spent two days training in Cape Kennedy in order to become one of 47 accredited space travel agents nationwide. She will sell space treks via Virgin Galactic, beginning in 2009, and plans to go herself. Steve LaVerdiere, 57, of Waterville, whose family began a family drug store chain, hopes to be among the first citizen astronauts. With a brief article from a British paper on Bowdoin graduate Dave Clark, who is in Astronaut Relations at Virgin Galactic.
