Abstract
An interview with artist Jamie Wyeth, who paints on Monhegan Island. Wyeth describes how he paints and talks about painting "Screen Door to the Sea" and "Portrait of Orca Bates." The subject of each painting is a young boy who was born into a simple and solitary world on nearby Manana Island and resisted having to attend school on Monehegan.
