Abstract

James D. Julia Auctioneers of Fairfield recently sold a marble-topped Victorian hunt board with elaborate carvings of wild game for $172,500. The sideboard, which had been in the same family for years, was the creation of renowned cabinet-maker Alexander Roux (1813-1886) and was in immaculate condition.
