Abstract

Profile of Ira Rosenberg, 71, who built Massachusetts-based Ira Motor Group with dedication to customer service. In 2000, he moved to Florida for his wife Judy's health, selling the company and its name to Group 1 Auto and signing a non-compete agreement. Unsuited for retirement, he moved to Maine, which was outside the exclusion agreement. He and his wife live in Kennebunk and are involved in philanthropic activities. Among his dealerships are Prime Motor Group Mercedes-Benz in Scarborough and the recently purchased Clair Motors.
