Abstract

The building that houses Erasmo's Cafe near Bath Iron Works in Portland has been restored after years of decline. Originally named the Liverpool Cafe, it was a thriving business that catered to new immigrants and passengers on the Grand Trunk Railroad. In January of 1929, proprietor Pauline Zimmerman was found murdered in the building.
