Noted chef and author Julia Child stayed in Maine periodically for over 50 years, at a home at Blue Hill Bay built in the 1940s by her brother-in-law, Charles Child, and his family. With details on her time in Maine and her visits to various Maine restaurants, including The Seafood Ketch in Bass Harbor, Arrows in Ogunquit, and The Hartstone Inn in Camden.
