Abstract

"Talking Walls" piece on Garrison Field, a 14 acre Cape Elizabeth oceanfront estate currently owned by Bruce D. Bent and Van Stewart and listed at $6.25 million. The estate, located on Pulpit Rock Road, was designed by Portland architect John Pickering Thomas and built in 1928 as a summer home for Walter Goodwin Davis, whose grandfather was co-owner of the Portland Packing Company. Davis was the president of Portland Savings Bank for many years and president of the Maine Historical Society from 1930-1953.
