Abstract
After filming "Notorious" with Cary Grant, Oscar-winning actress Ingrid Bergman visited a home in Cape Elizabeth on 9 Ironclad Road in May 1946 along with her friend Kay Brown. The home, which at the time belonged to Kay's college roommate, Eleanor Trefethen Deering, is listed for $679,000. The four-bedroom, three bath home that overlooks Beckett's Castle was built in 1923 for Fred Deering.
