Abstract

Longfellow Square has been the scene of arrivals and departures of many businesses and restaurants and the author likens the comings and goings as part of the ebbs and flows of the city's growth and intersperses analogies to some of its namesake's, Henry Wadsworth Longfellow's, writings. Businesses mentioned include Ocho Burrito, Otto's, Boha, Pai Men Miyake, LFK, Joe's Super Variety, Local 188, King of the Roll, Hot Suppa, and the performance venue, Longfellow Square. The restaurant, Vinland, located down from Longfellow Square, is also mentioned. [images]
