Abstract

The Bueben Colburn batteaux museum in Pittston shows Benedict Arnold's march up the Kennebec River to Quebec. Despite winning the eventual battle in Quebec, the British might have paid insufficient attention to New York and New Jersey as a result, and the March to Quebec had an important role in the American Revolution.
