Abstract

Article about the restoration of Dorothy Plummer's Queen Anne home on Portland's Eastern Promenade and about Plummer's relationship with Dan Haley, who became her sole contact with the outside world and is the current owner of the house. Following her graduate from Wellsley College in the 1920s, Miss Plummer never spend a night away from the house, which was built in 1898 by her father, Samuel Plummer. Plummer died on Jan. 6, 1994.
