Abstract

Fred and Ann Sargent, of Bath, discovered a mural beneath their wallpaper, and eventually discovered a set of mural paintings there, the work of an unknown but talented artist. The murals, similar in style and content to the works of Rufus Porter and Jonathan D. Poor, incorporate European motifs, unlike other Maine murals, which concentrate of rural areas. Details.
